About Mintzy
Mintzy is building an AI-native quantitative trading platform that combines machine-learning-driven market forecasting, real-time market signals, and configurable systematic trading strategies.
Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented, analytical intern to support live SDK operations, client account monitoring, market analysis, quantitative strategy testing, and daily performance reporting. You will work remotely during Indian equity market trading hours (IST), monitoring systematic execution across designated client accounts strictly within approved risk parameters.
Key Responsibilities
- SDK & Account Operations: Operate designated client accounts via the Mintzy SDK during live market hours in strict accordance with approved strategies, permissions, and risk limits.
- Live Position Monitoring: Track active orders, entry/exit levels, execution status, exposure, and account-wise P&L; promptly identify and escalate discrepancies or deviations.
- SDK Testing & Quality Checks: Validate platform signals and predictions, monitor order responses, and report bugs, execution delays, or data inconsistencies.
- Market Analysis & Reporting: Track intraday price action, volatility, and technical setups; generate structured daily reports covering P&L, drawdown, win rates, and execution insights.
- Strategy Research & Backtesting: Formulate and backtest rule-based quantitative strategies on historical data, evaluating metrics such as profit factor, Sharpe ratio, and maximum drawdown.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Document edge cases, bugs, and strategy logic to help the engineering and product teams refine the platform.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Solid grasp of Indian stock markets, price action (OHLC, candlestick patterns, support/resistance, volume, volatility), and technical indicators (RSI, MACD, Moving Averages, Bollinger Bands).
- Strong understanding of trade mechanics: order types, position sizing, intraday execution, stop-loss, risk-to-reward ratio, and drawdown management.
- High analytical acumen, numerical discipline, and rigorous attention to detail.
- Uncompromising commitment to confidentiality and risk discipline.
- Availability: Must be able to work actively during Indian stock market hours (9:00 AM – 3:30 PM IST) for a minimum 3-month commitment.
Good to Have
- Basic coding proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy) or SQL.
- Familiarity with APIs, SDKs, or software QA/debugging.
- Prior exposure to algorithmic trading, backtesting engines, or paper trading platforms.
Who Should Apply?
- Students or recent graduates in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or allied fields with a genuine passion for financial markets and systematic trading.
