About the Role
This is a full-time, on-site MEP (Freshers) role based in Chennai.
Key Responsibilities
- Support mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design activities.
- Prepare basic layouts and drawings under guidance.
- Assist senior engineers with project documentation and coordination.
- Work with CAD tools to develop and update drawings.
- Perform simple calculations.
- Help ensure designs comply with relevant standards and client requirements.
- Collaborate with project teams.
- Attend site visits when required.
- Contribute to resolving technical queries and design adjustments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret technical data, perform basic engineering calculations, and support problem-solving in MEP design.
- Mechanical Engineering knowledge with a fundamental understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical building services concepts.
- Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills to create, modify, and review engineering drawings and layouts.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with engineers, project teams, and stakeholders.
- Ability to learn quickly, follow engineering standards, and pay close attention to detail in drawings and documentation.
- Basic understanding of MEP codes and practices.
- Familiarity with MS Office tools.
- Internship or academic project experience in MEP is an advantage.
