About the Role

FRAYT is rebuilding how logistics works. As a Network Operator, you will start at the center of our live network: dispatching, troubleshooting, and keeping deliveries moving. This role will evolve as the company builds out its technology, with Artificial Intelligence (AI) at its core. You will help decide what gets automated and how operators and AI work together.

This role offers the opportunity to become a future operator, product thinker, or leader within the company. Logistics experience is not required; the industry and platform will be taught. The company seeks individuals with drive, grit, and an instinct to own a problem until it's solved.

Reports to the Senior Director of Operations.

Where This Goes

  • First: Learn the network by running it, including dispatching, coverage, and shipper and driver issues.
  • Next: Identify where and why issues occur, and help decide on fixes, new builds, and the responsible utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
  • Long term: Transition into roles owning a market, customer, process, or a piece of the product, including the operational aspects of AI within the network. Leadership opportunities are available for those who earn them.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dispatch and monitor deliveries on FRAYT’s proprietary platform to maintain high on-time performance.
  • Communicate directly with shippers and drivers to resolve issues quickly and professionally.
  • Monitor for unassigned orders and ensure tight coverage across active markets.
  • Identify patterns in customer delivery activity and suggest improvements in service.
  • Investigate recurring issues, determine root causes, and assist in designing solutions.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to shape daily tools, including AI for operational efficiency.
  • Work with Sales, Customer Ops, and Technology teams to resolve complex problems.
  • Efficiently manage communication across phone, email, Slack, and SMS.

Requirements & Tech Stack

  • Comfort with technology and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Strong organization skills and the ability to manage multiple urgent tasks simultaneously.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, evenings, and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (any field).
  • No logistics experience required.
  • Clear, confident communication skills, both written and verbal.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Problem-Solver: Ability to find creative solutions from different perspectives.
  • Relentless: Drive to work on a problem until it is solved.
  • Collaborative: Understanding when to involve others and leverage their skills.
  • Curious: Desire to understand the root cause of issues.
  • Coachable: Receptive to feedback and able to apply it quickly.
  • Calm under fire: Ability to remain steady and fix issues during challenging situations.
  • Ownership-minded: Treating problems as personal responsibilities.
  • Ambitious: Desire for increased responsibility and willingness to earn it.

Note: This is a startup environment that demands more than a standard 9-5. Expect demanding days, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, particularly during peak periods. The role involves unglamorous tasks and requires dedication to ensuring the network operates effectively.
