Entry-Level Website Developer (Unpaid Internship)

About the Role

SJA Pathway is seeking an Entry-Level Website Developer for a full-time, remote, unpaid internship. Interns will support the building and maintenance of web pages and features for SJA Pathway platforms, with an emphasis on front-end implementation and basic back-end integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate design mockups into responsive web interfaces.
• Fix bugs and test website functionality.
• Update content or components as needed.
• Collaborate with product, design, and content teams.
• Participate in code reviews.
• Document work for handoff and learning.
• Gain exposure to real-world development workflows, version control, and best practices.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Foundational skills in Front-End Development (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Interest in responsive Web Design.
• Basic understanding of Back-End Web Development concepts (e.g., APIs, databases) and general Web Development practices.
• Eagerness to learn modern frameworks or libraries (such as React, Vue, or similar).
• Familiarity with common development tools like Git and issue trackers.

Qualifications

• Strong Communication skills, including ability to collaborate in remote teams and clearly document code and processes.
• Ability to manage time effectively in a full-time remote environment.
• Ability to take feedback constructively.
• Relevant coursework, personal projects, or a portfolio demonstrating web development interest or experience is beneficial.
• Comfort working in an unpaid internship structure with a focus on skill development, real-world experience, and portfolio growth.
