About the Role
Kalyan Projects is hiring for a full-time, on-site role for a New BG Railway project in Karnataka.
- Jr. Civil Engineer: 3 positions
- Sr. Civil Engineer: 2 positions
Key Responsibilities
- Support site supervision
- Assist in execution of civil works
- Prepare basic drawings and reports
- Coordinate with site teams
- Ensure adherence to design specifications, safety norms, and quality standards
- Lead planning and execution of major civil activities (Sr. Civil Engineer)
- Review and approve designs (Sr. Civil Engineer)
- Manage project schedules (Sr. Civil Engineer)
- Supervise junior staff (Sr. Civil Engineer)
- Coordinate with contractors and consultants (Sr. Civil Engineer)
- Oversee compliance with technical and regulatory requirements (Sr. Civil Engineer)
- Involve regular site inspections
- Documentation of progress
- Problem-solving for on-site issues
- Close collaboration with project management to meet timelines and performance targets
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Strong Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design skills
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical standards
- Practical experience as Civil Engineers, including on-site supervision, coordination with construction teams, and management of daily project activities
- Planning skills to develop work schedules, allocate resources, and monitor progress against project milestones
- Stormwater Management and related infrastructure skills, including understanding of drainage, earthwork, and structural works relevant to railway projects
- Knowledge of relevant codes and standards
- Basic proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD)
- Familiarity with quality and safety practices on construction sites
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to work full-time on-site
- Willingness to travel to project locations in Karnataka as required
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution
- Additional certifications in project management or railway engineering are an advantage
- Prior experience on railway or large infrastructure projects is preferred for Sr. Civil Engineer roles
- Freshers or candidates with limited experience may be considered for Jr. Civil Engineer positions
