Transportation Specialist, NetWatch Flow

About the Role

The EU Transportation team ensures packages reach customers across the EU on time, at the best speed and cost. This involves building relationships with logistics providers and collaborating with internal teams to create and manage a resilient, scalable network.

A Trans Ops Specialist facilitates information flow between stakeholders (Trans Carriers/Hubs/Warehouses) and resolves issues impacting customer experience and business continuity. This role requires researching and querying internal tools, making real-time decisions, and understanding logistics. The ideal candidate can analyze data, identify trends, and drive customer experience without compromising time.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate with external customers (Carriers, Vendors/Suppliers) and internal customers (Retail, Finance, Software Support, Fulfillment Centers).
• Pull data from databases and perform ad hoc reporting and analysis.
• Develop and/or understand performance metrics to drive business results.
• Scope business and functional requirements for Amazon technology teams.
• Quickly understand business impact of trends and make data-informed decisions.
• Systematically escalate problems or variances to relevant owners and teams, and follow through on resolutions.
• Work within various time constraints to meet critical business needs.
• Create narratives outlining weekly findings and variances to goals, and present them.
• Provide real-time customer experience by working in a 24x7 operating environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative/technical field such as computer science, engineering, statistics.
• Experience with Excel.
• Experience with SQL.
• Basic understanding of Logistics.
• Clear written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to ideate process improvements and drive them to conclusion.
• Ability to analyze data and notice trends.
• Ability to communicate clearly in written and oral form.
• Fluency in English (speak, write, and read).
