About the Role
Garver is seeking a CAD Technician to join their established Federal Services Team in Austin, Texas. This role will involve a wide array of duties for civil/site projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Performing initial project CAD setup.
- Creating site layouts.
- Developing utility layouts.
- Performing rough grading.
- Creating detailing.
- Developing record drawing development.
- Coordinating with multi-discipline teams.
- Conducting BUILDER SMS inventories and assessment to support defense clients.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- 0-3 years of drafting experience in site development.
- Associates or 2-year technical degree.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
- Prepared to learn BUILDER SMS.
- Willingness to travel overnight.
Preferred Skills
- Technical knowledge and field experience with BUILDER SMS.
- Plan/Profile development.
- Storm and Sanitary Sewer pipe networks.
- Development of existing and proposed surfaces.
- Working knowledge of GIS software.
