About the Role
As an LP Analyst, you will help ensure investor records for private funds are accurate. You will support the daily, monthly, and quarterly checks of limited partner (LP) activity, including capital calls, distributions, and capital account statements. You will work closely with the Reconciliation team and have mentors to guide you.
Key Responsibilities
- Compare LP capital account data from fund administrators and general partners against internal records, and flag differences.
- Support daily and monthly reconciliation of capital calls, distributions, and capital account balances.
- Investigate differences in the reconciliation system.
- Check LP data against third-party and fund administrator sources.
- Track and report whether daily and monthly reconciliations were delivered on time.
- Build working relationships with data providers, fund administrators, and internal teams.
- Send clear questions and timely status updates to internal and external contacts.
- Learn internal tools and processes for LP and fund reconciliation.
What You Will Learn

- How to solve LP and fund discrepancies using Clearwater’s resources and the team’s expertise.
- How Clearwater’s mission (aggregate, reconcile, report) applies to LP and fund data.
- Reconciliation tools and reports, from routine tasks to more complex ones.
- Completion of new hire certifications, then intermediate-level training.
How You Will Grow
- Year one is focused on learning, with mentors and clear processes.
- Handle simple and medium-difficulty questions independently and seek help for more complex issues.
- Learn from mistakes and avoid repeating them.
- Manage work against team productivity and quality goals.
- Primarily work with fund administrators and data providers.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree (or graduating in 2026) in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organization and teamwork skills.
- Solid math and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel (lookups, pivot tables, and filters are a plus).
- Basic accounting or finance coursework.
- Curiosity, resilience, and a willingness to ask for help and learn from feedback.
- Interest in building a long-term career at Clearwater.
Knowledge of capital calls, distributions, or private equity is a plus but not required.
