Junior Accountant

About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site Junior Accountant role based in Pune City. The role involves assisting in day-to-day accounting operations and supporting smooth operations in a fast-growing renewable energy company.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in recording financial transactions.
• Maintain ledgers.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Prepare vouchers.
• Reconcile bank statements.
• Assist with monthly closing.
• Help compile financial reports for management review.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate documentation.
• Support audits.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards.
• Learn processes and improve financial accuracy.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools, especially Excel for basic financial analysis and reporting.

Qualifications

• Strong foundational knowledge of accounting principles, including journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations.
• Ability to manage invoices, support accounts payable/receivable, and maintain accurate financial records.
• Attention to detail, numeracy skills, and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet reporting deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent qualification).
• Willingness to learn.
• Integrity in handling financial information.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and compliance.
• Should be Pune Based.
• Internship or prior experience in an accounting or finance role is an advantage.
• Exposure to manufacturing or renewable energy sectors is a plus.
