About the Role
This role is for an Industrial Trainee in Indirect Tax within the Technology, Media & Entertainment, and Telecommunications (TMT) sector, based in Chennai. EY helps TMT companies navigate industry convergence, enhance competitiveness, and implement agile strategies for growth by focusing on employee and customer experiences, operational excellence, data protection, and M&A strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reconciliation, and preparation of indirect tax computations.
- Apply working knowledge of indirect tax frameworks such as GST, including return preparation, input tax credit reconciliation, and compliance tracking.
- Utilize general consulting methodologies applied to tax advisory and compliance engagements.
- Structure, validate, and present tax data accurately using analytical and spreadsheet-based tools.
- Adhere to documentation standards and technical workflows used in indirect tax review and audit support.
