About the Role
This is a full-time, on-site Billing Engineer Assistant role based in Chennai. The position supports the billing and quantity surveying team in preparing and verifying Bills of Quantities (BOQs), assisting with rate analysis, and preparing running and final bills for projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with site engineers to collect measurements.
- Update billing records in billing systems.
- Check contractor and subcontractor bills.
- Ensure that quantities and rates align with project specifications and contracts.
- Reconcile quantities.
- Maintain documentation for client and internal audits.
- Generate reports to support project cost control and timely payments.
Qualifications
- Skills in BOQ preparation and Quantity Surveying.
- Strong Analytical Skills and knowledge of Rate Analysis.
- Familiarity with Billing Systems and related software tools.
- Good MS Excel and general computer proficiency.
- Effective communication and coordination skills.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Prior internship or experience in construction billing or quantity surveying is an advantage.
