About the Role
- Design, develop, test, and maintain applications on the IBM i (AS400) platform.
- Provide technical solutions by analyzing business requirements.
- Develop and maintain batch, online, and interface programs.
- Prepare technical design documents and support documentation.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance programs using RPG IV, ILE RPG, Free-Format RPG, Fixed format RPG, CLLE, and SQLRPGLE.
- Create and maintain database objects, including Physical Files, Logical Files, SQL Tables, Views, and Indexes.
- Perform unit testing and integration testing.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Experience with IBM i (AS400) platform development.
- Proficiency in RPG IV, ILE RPG, Free-Format RPG, Fixed format RPG, CLLE, and SQLRPGLE.
- Experience with database objects: Physical Files, Logical Files, SQL Tables, Views, and Indexes.
- Familiarity with debugging tools such as STRDBG and job logs.
- Familiarity with source control and change management tools.
