About the Role
Neoscale is a stealth-mode startup building something new in hardware + AI. We are looking for a hardware intern.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and tune motion hardware (e.g., 3D printers, CNCs, plotters).
- Work directly with the founder to take concepts from CAD to a working machine.
- Select components, iterate quickly, and contribute to key design decisions.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Experience building or heavily modifying a 3D printer, CNC, laser engraver, pen plotter, or similar.
- Familiarity with rails, belts, pulleys, steppers, and servos.
- Experience setting up firmware such as GRBL, FluidNC, Klipper, or Marlin.
- Ability to design a printable part in CAD in an afternoon.
- Fusion 360 is a plus.
- Access to space at home for building and testing.
- Enjoyment of working in a fast-moving startup environment.
