About the Role
Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a Full Time Software Engineer - Early Career to participate in all phases of the System Software lifecycle, including supporting initial System Design concepts, software requirements development, design, implementation, integration, and test. This role involves writing automated test scripts, tools, and software that runs on the F-35.
Key Responsibilities
- Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities.
- Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software containing logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems.
- Applies appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development lifecycle.
- Utilizes knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter, information processing techniques, and system user information to develop software.
- Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles program development documentation, and analyzes system capabilities.
- Ensures software standards are met.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- C++ programming language
- Object Oriented Design
- Familiarity with Unix or Linux
- Software that runs on the F-35
- Automated test scripts and tools
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a STEM Discipline
- Experience developing software to run in Linux Operating Systems
- Experience with C++ language
- U.S. Citizen
- Interim Secret clearance required to start.
- Position is located at a facility that requires special access.
