About the Role
Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Software Engineer Associate. In this role, you will design, develop, document, test, and debug software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to mission problems. You will also correct program errors, prepare operating instructions, compile documentation of program development, and analyze system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.

- Ensure software standards are met.
- Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities.
- Apply the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle.
- Apply knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Agile methods and practices
- Object-oriented programming
- C/C++, C#, or Python
- Experience developing maintainable code
- Experience performing unit, integration, and regression testing
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a degree program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related technical degree.
- Experience in software design and development.
- US Citizenship Required.
- Final Secret Clearance required to start.
Desired Skills
- Familiarity working within an Agile team environment.
- Satellite ground systems or operations experience, especially with GPS.
