About the Role
Sun Teknovation PVT LTD is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Image Processing C/C++ Developer with 0 to 3 years of experience to join their core engineering team. This is a full-time, on-site Jr Software Developer role based in Gandhinagar.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, optimize, and implement high-performance image processing and computer vision algorithms.
- Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining software components for vision inspection and decision-making systems.
- Write clean and efficient code.
- Debug and troubleshoot software issues.
- Implement back-end features.
- Support integration with hardware and production systems.
- Collaborate with senior developers and engineers.
- Document code and technical processes.
- Test software modules.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of existing solutions.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- C++ (C++11/14/17/20) and C programming proficiency.
- Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Data Structures, and Standard Template Library (STL).
- Solid grasp of digital image processing fundamentals (filtering, morphological operations, color space conversions, feature extraction, edge detection, image enhancement, etc.).
- Experience with OpenCV/HALCON or similar computer vision libraries.
- Algorithm Implementation: Translate mathematical models and research prototypes into efficient, clean, and robust C/C++ code for image processing pipelines.
- Optimization & Performance: Profile and optimize existing C/C++ codebases for execution speed, real-time processing, and memory efficiency (leveraging multi-threading or hardware acceleration where applicable).
- Library Utilization: Build and maintain applications utilizing standard computer vision libraries such as OpenCV/HALCON.
- Testing & Validation: Write unit tests, integration tests, and benchmark performance metrics to ensure accuracy and high reliability of image quality.
- Debugging & Troubleshooting: Investigate, debug, and resolve low-level memory issues, segmentation faults, and performance bottlenecks.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with hardware, QA, and product teams to integrate software modules into larger enterprise or embedded systems.
- Documentation: Maintain clear documentation for developed APIs, code architectures, and technical workflows.
Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience with scripting languages like Python or MATLAB for rapid algorithm prototyping and testing.
- Exposure to Machine Learning / Deep Learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, ONNX).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electronics and Communication.
- 0 to 3 years of professional experience (strong academic projects, internships, or open-source contributions will be considered for fresh graduates).
