About the Role
Urban Company is seeking a Business Development Associate to support business growth and stakeholder activation from its Kolkata office. This role offers early-career professionals an opportunity to build practical experience in business development, onboarding, relationship management, and operational coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and engage prospective partners and other relevant stakeholders through calls, email, professional networks, and suitable outreach channels.
- Understand stakeholder requirements, explain offerings and onboarding processes, and guide prospects through registration, verification, activation, and handover.
- Maintain a structured pipeline, track pending actions, follow up consistently, and coordinate with internal teams to resolve documentation gaps and onboarding bottlenecks.
- Serve as a reliable point of contact, build professional relationships, maintain accurate records, and ensure a smooth stakeholder experience.
- Prepare progress updates, identify recurring issues, and recommend practical improvements to simplify workflows and improve activation outcomes.
Requirements
- 0–3 years of experience in business development, onboarding, partner management, client servicing, operations, sales, or a related area.
- Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal ability, organisation, attention to detail, and follow-through.
