Cad Designer "Accessories & Bags Specialist"

About the Role

Anamika Khanna is looking for a creative and detail-oriented CAD Designer with a background in bags and accessories design. The candidate will be responsible for translating creative concepts into detailed digital designs, technical drawings, and production-ready artwork while maintaining the brand's design aesthetics and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed CAD drawings, digital sketches, and technical illustrations for bags and accessories.
• Develop design concepts, motifs, prints, patterns, embellishments, and placement artwork.
• Translate designers' concepts, hand sketches, and references into accurate digital designs.
• Prepare technical drawings and design specifications for sampling and production.
• Collaborate with designers, merchandisers, and production teams to execute designs.
• Make design revisions based on feedback from the creative team.
• Ensure accuracy in dimensions, proportions, colours, materials, and design detailing.
• Maintain organised digital design files and product-wise artwork records.
• Ensure timely completion of design assignments and deliverables.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, CorelDRAW, or other relevant design software.
• A strong portfolio showcasing relevant CAD designs and product development work.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Fashion Design, Accessory Design, Product Design, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in CAD designing, preferably in bags, handbags, leather goods, fashion accessories, or luxury accessories.
• Understanding of materials, textures, colours, surface detailing, and product construction.
• Strong visualisation skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to convert creative concepts into technically accurate, production-ready designs.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Candidates with a bags and accessories design background will be preferred.
• Experience working with luxury brands, designer labels, or premium fashion and accessories brands.
• Knowledge of handbag silhouettes, trims, hardware, embellishments, material combinations, and finishing details.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced design environment.

Trial Requirements

• Candidates must be available for an interview next week.
• A mandatory 2-day trial is part of the selection process.
• Candidates must be available to complete both trial days as scheduled.
• Final selection will be based on technical skills, creativity, design aesthetics, attention to detail, and suitability for the role.
• Candidates must share their updated CV and portfolio before proceeding with the interview and trial.
