About the Role
This internship immerses you in core software engineering fundamentals at Medinex Workforce. You will write clean, modular code, implement robust data structures, track down complex edge-case bugs, and collaborate using modern version control workflows while learning industry-standard software craftsmanship.
What you will work on
- Implement, refactor, and optimize core business logic and algorithms using appropriate data structures.
- Identify, trace, and debug reproducible software defects across application layers.
- Write modular, readable, and maintainable code following team style guides and design patterns.
- Create unit test cases and run automated test suites to ensure edge-case test coverage.
- Manage code changes, branches, and conflict resolutions using Git and GitHub workflows.
- Participate in structured peer code reviews, addressing feedback and improving codebase quality.
- Profile execution bottlenecks and optimize memory and CPU usage across core routines.
- Share progress in a short daily check-in and attend technical sprint reviews.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Strong foundational grasp of core data structures (arrays, linked lists, hash maps, trees, queues) and algorithms.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Java, C++, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript).
- Logical problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to tracking down software bugs.
- Basic familiarity with version control concepts and Git commands (clone, branch, commit, push, pull).
- Clear written English for bug tracking and technical documentation.
- A laptop and a stable internet connection.
Helpful but not required
- Prior experience writing unit tests (e.g., JUnit, PyTest, Jest).
- Familiarity with object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and basic design patterns.
- An active GitHub profile, competitive programming track record, or personal coding projects.
Who can apply
- Final-year students and recent graduates from B.Tech, B.E., BCA, B.Sc (CS/IT), MCA, or related technical streams.
- Self-taught coders who can demonstrate algorithmic reasoning and code samples.
- Freshers, with no prior commercial development experience needed.
- Candidates available to commit full-time for the duration of the internship.
What you gain
- Hands-on experience working within production-grade coding environments.
- Systematic code review feedback and mentorship from senior software engineers.
- Practical debugging, testing, and algorithmic problem-solving artifacts for interviews.
- Internship completion certificate.
- The freedom to work remotely from anywhere in India.
Work schedule
Full-time, Monday to Saturday or as assigned by your reporting manager.
