About the Opportunity

AMY is hiring a Software Developer to lead the development of next-generation business management software for jewellery manufacturing. The objective is to modernize and replace the existing system with an advanced, cloud-based, AI-integrated solution. The role involves working closely with the internal IT team, providing technical guidance, and taking responsibility for planning, developing, and implementing the new software.

Key Responsibilities

• Existing Software Analysis
• Study and understand the current business management software.
• Analyze existing workflows, modules, databases, and operational requirements.
• Identify limitations and opportunities for improvement.
• Plan the secure migration of existing data to the new system.
• New Software Development
• Design and develop a complete jewellery manufacturing management system.
• Create modules covering production, inventory, orders, stock management, accounts, and reporting.
• Develop department-wise tracking and automated workflow management.
• Build a secure, scalable, and user-friendly software platform.
• Ensure proper testing, implementation, and ongoing maintenance.
• Cloud Technology & Infrastructure
• Plan and implement cloud-based software infrastructure using AWS or similar platforms.
• Manage cloud hosting, databases, backups, security, and system performance.
• Recommend suitable technologies based on business requirements and cost efficiency.
• Ensure secure access and reliable system availability.
• Artificial Intelligence & Automation
• Integrate AI-powered chatbots and intelligent business assistants.
• Develop automated reports, dashboards, and management information systems.
• Implement AI-based data analysis and workflow automation.
• Explore modern AI technologies to improve productivity and decision-making.
• Team Coordination & Technical Leadership
• Work closely with the existing internal IT team.
• Provide technical guidance and support throughout development.
• Coordinate software planning, development, testing, and implementation.
• Identify additional technical manpower requirements.
• Assist management in recruiting and building a development team when necessary.
• Project Planning & Cost Management
• Prepare a complete software development roadmap.
• Recommend suitable programming languages, frameworks, and technologies.
• Evaluate development costs, cloud infrastructure expenses, and maintenance requirements.
• Prepare project budgets and implementation timelines for management approval.
• Manage the development process from initial planning to final delivery.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, PHP, or similar technologies.
• Understanding of frontend and backend application development.
• Knowledge of SQL databases and database management.
• Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Basic understanding of APIs, software integrations, and data migration.
• Interest or practical experience in AI tools, chatbots, and automation.
• Good problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to learn existing software systems and understand business requirements.
