About the Role
The Web Development Intern will support the design, development, and maintenance of web applications and user interfaces as part of Weskill’s remote internship program. This is an internship role conducted entirely remotely, offering practical project-based experience and exposure to industry-relevant tools and workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with front-end and back-end development tasks.
- Implement responsive designs.
- Fix bugs.
- Test site functionality.
- Collaborate with mentors and team members.
- Contribute to improving user experience.
- Help integrate new features based on technical and user requirements.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Skills in Web Development, including familiarity with Front-End Development and Back-End Web Development.
- Skills in Web Design, with an understanding of responsive layout, usability, and basic UI/UX principles.
- Strong Communication skills for effective collaboration in a remote team environment.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and at least one backend language or framework (e.g., Node.js, Python, PHP).
Qualifications
- Interest in learning new technologies.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to follow coding standards and best practices.
- Current enrollment in a relevant undergraduate program (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field) is advantageous but not mandatory.
