Hiring Range: $15.10 to $15.11

Key Responsibilities

Customer Satisfaction

• Provides prompt, excellent customer service in a courteous, friendly, and attentive manner.
• Greets customers and thanks them upon leaving.
• Offers assistance, suggestions, or recommendations.
• Rings up sales accurately using the cash register, handling money and other payment types.
• Operates fuel console, lottery machines, money order machine, telecom transactions, etc.
• Reports to work on time and adheres to the dress and appearance code.

Facility Condition

• Maintains store cleanliness and equipment to Company and/or brand standards.
• Performs multi-function and cleaning duties to maintain store cleanliness, inside and out.
• Conducts basic upkeep and cleaning of all store equipment.
• Inspects store facilities and equipment for safety, cleanliness, and proper working order.
• Notifies Store Manager of any equipment failure or maintenance/supply needs.

Merchandising

• Completes build-to’s for ordering/purchasing merchandise.
• Receives and verifies vendor deliveries.
• Maintains adequate stock and supplies, rotating stock properly.
• Places advertising and pricing signage.

Sales and Financial Controls

• Controls merchandise, cash shortages, and other selling expenses.
• Assists in maintaining proper inventory levels and shift audits.
• Accounts for variances in cash, sales, and inventory.
• Notifies Store Manager of any sales, cash, or inventory discrepancies.
• Follows Company and/or brand guidelines for product breakage or spoilage.

Security Controls

• Reports all incidents (employee/customer injuries, theft, property damage, improper sanitation/waste disposal) to the Store Manager.
• Reports any situation of unsafe, unlawful, or unethical conduct.

Administrative

• Keeps accurate records of shift and timekeeping paperwork.
• May take inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Attends job-related meetings.
• Provides regular and predictable onsite attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in retail sales preferred.
• Ability to accurately operate equipment including cash registers or scanners, hot/cold beverage dispensers, and other machines.
• Ability to work scheduled hours and arrive on time.
• Ability to communicate information and ideas effectively.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) preferred.
• Ability to perform essential duties and physical functions.
• Ability to work in described conditions.

Physical Requirements

• Exposure to cold or warm temperature extremes, including occasional work in a walk-in cooler/freezer and outdoors.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds from ground to waist.
• Ability to grasp, reach, and manipulate objects with hands for the entire shift.
• Ability to push/pull with arms up to a force of 20 pounds (e.g., using a hand-truck).
• Ability to reach overhead.
• Ability to bend and twist at the waist.
• Ability to communicate orally.
• Ability to operate a cash register and/or computer keyboard.
• Ability to stoop, kneel, squat, bend, push, and pull.
• Ability to work alone.
• Exposure to occasional noise.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for an entire shift.
• May require climbing a ladder.

Work Environment

• Approximately 95% of work performed indoors, with required outdoor tasks (cleaning parking lots, gas pumps, taking out garbage).
• Exposure to extreme cold temperatures in walk-in coolers/freezers.
• Exposure to occasional noise.
• Work with minimum direction and periodic supervision.
