About the Role
This role owns the layer of product experience that deals with small frictions impacting user experience, such as enrollment flows, report card exports, and settings explanations. The company is a sixty-person ed-tech business selling to schools and colleges.
Key Responsibilities
- Spend the first months listening:
- Sit in on support escalations and school onboarding calls.
- Read through user feedback.
- Identify small frictions that cost renewals.
- Write lightweight specs for fixes and small features.
- Work with engineers to get features built.
- Check after launch whether features helped.
- Help run the intake for feature requests from sales and customer-success teams.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Comfortable writing a clear one-page spec without hand-holding.
- Some familiarity with a tool like Excel, SQL, or a product-analytics dashboard.
- Patient enough to talk to actual teachers and school admins and take their feedback seriously.
Qualifications
- 0-3 years of experience.
- A stint in product, customer success, or business analysis at a software company is ideal.
