About the Role
Full-time Medical Assistant position at HCA Florida Capital Primary Care. The role involves providing clinical expertise to ensure high-quality, efficient patient care. No nights, no on-call, no weekends, no holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking patient histories and vital signs.
- Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments, including preparation and maintenance of supplies and equipment for treatments, and sterilization.
- Administer injections.
- Assist with lab testing and phlebotomy.
- Assist physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals.
- Answer telephone calls to the practice and screen for referrals.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Medical Assisting program graduation OR twelve months of direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting OR current Medical Assistant certification.
- Candidates with one year of medical work experience without certification must obtain certification within one year of hire.
- Graduates from a Medical Assisting training program will obtain a clinical MA certification within 60 days of employment.
- Highly preferred: Active and unrevoked RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, or NCRMA certification/ABR-OE credentials.
