Winter/Spring PR Internship

Modern Currency PR seeks internship candidates with a deep interest in hospitality to join their team in Winter/Spring 2027 (January – May 2027).

• The internship is unpaid, virtual, and remote.
• Ideally, at least 3 days per week commitment between 9am – 5:30pm PST.
• All candidates must be enrolled in college and eligible to receive academic credit.

• Unique pitch creation
• Event coordination:
• Media-attended events
• Hospitality/tourism industry events
• Client Service:
• Creative brainstorming for client pitches, events, and programming
• Curation of client clip reports
• Briefing and memos
• Media profiles/backgrounds
• Other documents
• Business development:
• Responding to RFPs
• New business pitching
• Agency capabilities presentations
• Immersion into all varieties of media (print, digital, broadcast, and social) as it pertains to both the team’s practice and targeted client markets.

Requirements & Skills

• Passion for luxury travel, restaurants, food culture/lifestyle, and international travel/tourism.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Self-motivated, takes initiative, and demonstrates appropriate follow-through.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize with attention to detail: proofreading, grammar, fact-checking.
• Ability to take direction and constructive feedback and move forward productively.
• Proactive knowledge sharing.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Supply your own laptop for use on the job.
• Previous internship/professional experience is ideal.
