About the Role

The Mortgage Consultant is a full-time, hybrid role based in Irvine, CA, with flexibility for some work from home.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise clients on mortgage options.
• Assess client financial profiles.
• Recommend suitable lending products.
• Manage applications from initial inquiry through closing.
• Coordinate documentation.
• Ensure compliance with lending regulations and company policies.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, internal teams, and lending partners to provide updates and resolve issues promptly.
• Conduct market research.
• Identify new business opportunities.
• Contribute to a high-quality customer experience.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency with loan origination systems, CRM tools, and standard office software.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of the Mortgage Industry and hands-on experience with Mortgages and Mortgage Lending.
• Solid understanding of Finance principles, including credit analysis, debt-to-income calculations, and risk assessment.
• Proven Customer Service skills, with the ability to build trust, explain complex information clearly, and manage client expectations.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment, manage time efficiently, and handle multiple cases simultaneously.
• Experience in mortgage consulting, loan origination, or related financial services roles is preferred.
• Relevant licensing or registration as required by state and federal regulations (e.g., NMLS), or willingness to obtain.
