Training Research Coordinator, Cybersecurity

About the Role

InfosecTrain is seeking a detail-oriented and research-driven Cybersecurity Training Research Coordinator to support course development and training research initiatives. The role involves researching cybersecurity market trends, identifying in-demand certifications and training programs, analyzing competitor offerings, exploring new course opportunities, and identifying suitable cybersecurity trainers and subject-matter experts. This position is suitable for candidates interested in cybersecurity, technology research, market analysis, and professional training. Freshers with relevant academic projects, internships, certifications, or demonstrable research skills are welcome.

Key Responsibilities

• Cybersecurity Market Research: Research cybersecurity trends, emerging technologies, industry requirements, and in-demand professional certifications.
• Course Opportunity Research: Identify potential new courses, workshops, and training programs based on industry trends, certification demand, and competitor offerings.
• Competitor Analysis: Research competing training providers, their course portfolios, training formats, and publicly available pricing to identify market gaps and opportunities.
• Trainer Sourcing: Identify and research cybersecurity trainers, industry practitioners, and subject-matter experts based on their technical expertise, certifications, and teaching experience.
• Trainer Database Management: Build and maintain organized trainer databases, research trackers, and contact records.
• Research & Reporting: Prepare structured research reports, competitor comparisons, and recommendations for new training opportunities.
• Industry Research: Explore cybersecurity certifications, training providers, relevant industry communities, and potential subject-matter experts.
• Cross-functional Coordination: Coordinate with internal teams on research findings, course requirements, and trainer availability.

Mandatory Requirements

• 0–3 years of relevant experience in research, market research, training research, course research, training coordination, or a related field.
• Strong research, information-gathering, and analytical skills.
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity, IT, or technology, or a demonstrated willingness to learn through relevant projects, coursework, or certifications.
• Ability to research, compare, and organize information from multiple sources.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of MS Excel or Google Sheets for maintaining research trackers and databases.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-up skills.
• Willingness to work onsite in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
• Freshers with relevant internships, academic projects, or cybersecurity certifications may apply.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to cybersecurity, information security, IT training, or professional certification programs.
• Experience in competitor analysis, market research, training research, or course development.
• Exposure to trainer sourcing, technical recruitment, or learning and development.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, or other relevant industry certifications.
• Ability to prepare research summaries, comparison sheets, and structured reports.
