About the Role

The Cybersecurity Operations – SOC Intern (CT R92) is a full-time, remote role based out of Chennai, focused on supporting Security Operations Center activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and logs.
• Assist in identifying and analyzing potential threats.
• Help in incident triage and escalation following defined procedures.
• Work with security tools.
• Document findings.
• Prepare basic reports.
• Support the implementation of security controls and best practices.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity professionals.
• Participate in learning sessions.
• Contribute to improving operational security processes under guidance from senior team members.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Foundational knowledge and interest in Cybersecurity and Information Security.
• Willingness to learn and apply best practices.
• Understanding of Network Security concepts such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, and secure network design.
• Basic awareness of Application Security principles, including common vulnerabilities and secure coding or configuration practices.
• Exposure to general Cyber and SOC operations topics such as threat monitoring, incident response, and log analysis.
• Ability to analyze data.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures.
• Ability to document technical information clearly.
• Comfort working in a remote, collaborative environment.
• Strong time management and communication skills.
• Familiarity with security tools (e.g., SIEM, endpoint protection, vulnerability scanners) is a plus.
• Basic scripting knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or having completed a degree or certification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
