About the Role
BuildArt Interiors | Constructions is seeking an Interior Design Intern to support the design team in developing residential and commercial interior concepts, layouts, and mood boards. This is a full-time, on-site role in Trivandrum.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design team in developing residential and commercial interior concepts, layouts, and mood boards.
- Assist with space planning, furniture, and material selection.
- Help with FF&E documentation.
- Prepare drawings, presentations, and 3D visualizations.
- Coordinate with vendors and project teams.
- Organize project files.
- Support site visits and measurements.
- Contribute creative ideas that align with client requirements and BuildArt’s design standards.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Basic proficiency in design and drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and presentation software.
- Attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn.
- Ability to work on-site in Trivandrum on a full-time schedule.
- Interest in sustainable design, modern residential interiors, and local materials and practices is an advantage.
Qualifications
- Skills in Interior Design and Space Planning.
- Skills related to Furniture and FF&E (fixtures, fittings, and equipment) for selection, specification, and documentation.
- Strong Communication skills for collaborating with team members, vendors, and clients.
