Financial Accounting Operations Controllership Consultant

About the Role

Deloitte Finance Transformation practice helps CFOs, controllers, and finance teams define and execute their finance and global business services agendas and strategies. You will work with leading-class teams and solutions, helping clients navigate challenging environments, market uncertainty, technology development, and regulatory considerations to unlock value. Your work may span strategy, operations, process design, and technology as we partner with clients to transform finance.

Key Responsibilities

• Support accounting operations for property, plant, and equipment (PP&E), lease accounting, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), reimbursable agreements, and Intragovernmental Payment and Collection (IPAC) transactions.
• Prepare and reconcile monthly financial reports, account balances, and supporting documentation.
• Research accounting discrepancies, perform transaction reviews, and document resolutions.
• Support charge card management activities and compliance monitoring under established policies and procedures.
• Use SAP and financial systems to record, analyze, and report financial data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• Must be able to obtain the required clearance for this role.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
• 1+ years of experience performing accounting operations or preparing monthly financial reports.
• 1+ years of experience performing at least two of the following: property, plant, and equipment accounting; lease accounting; accounts payable; accounts receivable; reimbursable agreements; or Intragovernmental Payment and Collection transactions.
• 1+ years of experience performing charge card management and compliance monitoring.
• Ability to travel 0-25%, on average.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using SAP to process accounting transactions or prepare financial reports.
• Experience preparing financial reports, reconciliations, or accounting transactions for a U.S. federal government agency.
