- Support high-voltage and high-current designs, ensuring performance, efficiency, and reliability.
- System & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with firmware and software engineers to define hardware interfaces and support system-level integration.
- Work closely with system and mechanical teams on rack enclosure, thermal, and liquid cooling solutions.
- PCB Design & Validation
- Lead or support schematic design, PCB layout review, and design verification for power hardware.
- Perform hardware bring-up, debugging, and validation using lab equipment (oscilloscope, power analyzer, etc.).
- Compliance, Testing & Reliability
- Support hardware testing for safety, compliance, and regulatory requirements (EMI/EMC, reliability, and environmental testing).
- Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions for hardware-related issues.
- Documentation & Industry Awareness
- Create and maintain hardware design documentation, specifications, and test reports.
- Stay current with power electronics industry trends, renewable energy applications, and energy efficiency technologies.
- Conduct competitive analysis related to power hardware design and solutions.
Qualifications
- 0-3 years of experience in high-power product or power module hardware design.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field preferred.
- Strong knowledge of power electronics, high-voltage systems, and control hardware.
- Experience with PCB design, schematic capture, and hardware validation.
- Familiarity with hardware interfaces supporting firmware and software integration (e.g., control signals, sensing, communication interfaces).
- Hands-on lab experience with debugging, validation, and failure analysis.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving capability.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, fast-paced development environment.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative team mindset.
- Good interpersonal characteristics.
- Willing to learn.
- Self-motivated personality.
