Article Trainee

About the Role

The Article Trainee will support audit, accounting, and taxation assignments under the guidance of senior team members. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Pune. The position offers practical exposure to professional standards, client interaction, and structured learning in audit, tax, and advisory work.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in statutory and internal audits.
• Help prepare financial statements and working papers.
• Support tax computations and filings.
• Perform research on accounting and tax issues.
• Help document processes.
• Assist with compliance and regulatory reporting.
• Maintain organized records.
• Coordinate with clients for data collection.
• Contribute to business support service engagements.

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong foundation in accounting principles, auditing concepts, and basic taxation rules.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and other office productivity tools.
• Familiarity with accounting or tax software is an advantage.
• Good analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
• Ability to manage time effectively, work under supervision, meet deadlines, and adapt to a structured training environment.
• High level of integrity, willingness to learn, and openness to feedback and continuous professional development.

Education & Experience

• Pursuing or completed CA articleship eligibility (or equivalent professional training requirement).
• Commerce or finance-related academic background preferred.
