Video Editor intern

About the Role

Social Square Media is a growing digital media company focused on creating engaging visual content for brands and online audiences. Based in Mumbai, the team produces videos and graphics for social media, advertising campaigns, and digital storytelling. This is a full-time Video Editor intern role based in Mumbai with a hybrid work arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit video content for social media, marketing campaigns, and other digital platforms.
• Assemble raw footage.
• Apply transitions.
• Perform basic color correction.
• Add motion graphics or text overlays.
• Ensure videos align with brand guidelines and project briefs.
• Collaborate with designers and content creators.
• Organize media assets.
• Export content in required formats.
• Assist in brainstorming ideas for new video concepts and formats.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Experience with Video Editing and Video Production, including assembling footage and managing timelines.
• Ability to perform Video Color Grading.
• Experience with Motion Graphics and Graphics for titles, lower thirds, and social media-friendly elements.
• Proficiency in common editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
• Basic familiarity with After Effects or similar software.

• Good sense of pacing and storytelling.
• Ability to follow creative direction and feedback.
• Effective communication skills.
• Comfort working in a collaborative, hybrid environment in Mumbai.
• Relevant coursework, portfolio, or project experience in film, media, design, or related fields is preferred.
• Willingness to learn, adapt to fast-changing digital trends, and manage multiple tasks and deadlines responsibly.
