Cashier

About the Role

Nando's PERi-PERi is hiring for a Cashier. This role is available for full-time and part-time hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide the Nando’s experience at the register.
• Accurately manage cash and credit card transactions.
• Balance the register at the end of the shift.
• Act as a menu expert, guiding customer selection.
• Accurately enter customer orders into the register.
• Work with the team to exceed guest expectations.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Ability to take direction and work in a team environment.
• Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
• Commitment to quality service.
• Food and beverage knowledge.
• Knowledge and comprehension of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
• Basic English language and professional communication skills.
• Hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to perform actions such as reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, and lifting overhead.

Physical Requirements

• Able to independently lift up to 15lbs for an extended period.
• Ability to stand, walk and climb stairs with food items and dishes throughout your shift.
• Must be able to walk and/or stand for 8-10 hours per day.

Compensation

Current Pay Ranges For This Position Include:

• Washington, DC: $18.40 - 20.00 per hour
• Virginia: $13.00 - 18.00 per hour
• Maryland: $15.00 - 19.00 per hour
• Illinois: $15.00 - 19.00 per hour
• Georgia: $13.00 - 18.00 per hour
• Texas: $13.00 - 18.00 per hour
