About the Role

An entry-level opportunity to join the Data and Operations group at Morningstar. This role offers practical experience with diverse datasets, including public equity filings, private market transactions, ESG taxonomies, Managed Investment Data (Funds), and reference entity data. You will build knowledge of investment management and grow skills in Excel, SQL, and Power BI, benefiting from structured training to support long-term success.

Location: Mumbai office. Preference given to candidates residing in Mumbai.

Work Location: Vashi, Navi Mumbai

Apprenticeship Period: 6–12 months

Stipend: 22,000 per month

Working Days: Monday to Friday (5-day work week)

Key Responsibilities

• Search, collect, and verify data of basic and intermediate complexity.
• Attend to internal/client queries and requests to ensure data alignment with methodologies and policy guidelines.
• Learn research methods and process standards for productivity, quality, and timeliness.
• Collaborate with team members, cross-functional teams, and external parties to resolve data issues.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency in MS Office tools, especially Excel and Word.
• Ability to learn quickly and process information with ease.
• Willingness to work in shifts, including night shifts.
• Shift 1: 5:30 AM – 2:30 PM
• Shift 2: 2:30 PM – 11:30 PM
• Shift 3: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Shift 4: 8:30 PM – 5:30 AM

Qualifications

• Candidates graduating in 2026 with a Bachelor's degree (preferably in Finance or related non-engineering disciplines) are eligible to apply.
• BE/B. Tech, Postgraduate, and Master's degree holders are not eligible.
• Candidates pursuing or holding professional qualifications such as CA, CFA, CMA, CS, ACCA, FRM, or any similar equivalent course are not eligible.
• Strong English communication skills (written, verbal, and comprehension).
