Legal Claim Assistant, Contingent Worker

About the Role

• Temporary assignment for a Legal Claim Assistant in Plano, Texas.
• 12-month contract.
• Pay range: $18.70 - $20.50/Hr.
• Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K.
• Requires a proactive mindset, problem-solving skills, and a desire for continuous improvement.
• Must be able to identify when claims, documentation, or processes are not making sense or being followed.

Key Responsibilities

• Initial review and processing of claims and notices from various sources.
• Enter all claim information into the legal matter management system.
• Perform detailed reviews of claims, including incident descriptions, defect allegations, vehicle information, customer information, and alleged death, injury, or property damage.
• Track and save all received documents in a document management system.
• Assign vehicle inspections and download inspection reports (for designated assistants).
• Ensure efficiency and accuracy due to audits and reporting to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (TREAD Reporting).

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Basic experience with Word, Excel, and common Microsoft applications.
• Ability to learn in-house applications.
• Data entry skills.
• Good reasoning skills to interpret data.
• Must be well-organized to handle work volume.

Added Bonus

• Some experience in insurance is preferred but not required.
• Prior experience using Salesforce would be helpful but not required.
