About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Protect the site’s building, grounds, assets, employees, students, and visitors against criminal activity, accidents, fires, and natural disasters.
• Provide outstanding customer service to customers, clients, and visitors.
• Provide excellent customer service when dealing with Clients, Customers, Co-Workers, etc.
• Guard posts, including building lobbies or reception areas.
• Conduct hourly foot patrol of interior and exterior to check entrances, doors, windows, and vents are locked and secure against break-ins (includes climbing stairs).
• Monitor surroundings on closed-circuit television.
• Ensure unauthorized persons do not enter restricted areas.
• Check for employee and vendor identifications.
• Look for suspicious persons, packages, and activities.
• May provide first aid or other medical treatment in emergency situations.
• May operate x-ray and/or metal detection equipment.
• Follow site-specific post guidelines.
• Report potentially hazardous conditions and items in need of repair, including lighting, plumbing, wet floors, etc.
• Document daily activities and incident reports.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Smart mobile phone or computer for checking emails and completing online training.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent education certification, such as a GED.
• Must pass a drug screening at the time of hire and randomly thereafter (including for marijuana).
• Must not have been convicted of any felonies.
• Must not have been convicted of any misdemeanors related to dishonesty, fraud, impersonation of law enforcement, assault, weapons, unauthorized sale of information or evidence, controlled substances (including for marijuana), or two or more alcohol-related offenses.
• Able to sit, stand, and walk, including up and down stairs, for 8-12 hours at a time.
• Able to see clearly at least 20 feet away (assisted with glasses or contact lenses if necessary).
• Able to hear conversations in loud environments either in-person or via radio.
• Able to fluently read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Professional with excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent personal integrity and a positive attitude.
• Complete required trainings on time and adhere to all client and company policies.

• ACA Full Time: Monday through Thursday - 1st Shift

Compensation

• Rate of Pay: $17.65/hour
