About the Role
This internship is with Irdeto's multicultural service operations team, responsible for proactively monitoring and resolving application and infrastructure incidents affecting Irdeto systems and Customers globally. The role serves as a coordination point for communications between global customers and various Irdeto teams, including Engineering, DevOps, Integration, Security, Architecture, and Service Delivery. This position will involve 24*7 shift work.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administration and maintenance support for web applications hosted in AWS.
- Perform application troubleshooting to quickly resolve issues per documented procedures.
- Effectively respond to monitoring alerts, incident tickets, and information requests within predefined SLAs.
- Handle communication and notification of major issues to all stakeholders.
- Document resolution run books and standard operating procedures.
- Work on continuous improvement initiatives (Automation) and participate in service transition and launch projects.
- Work with core monitoring tools such as Splunk, AWS CloudWatch, Nagios, and Grafana Cloud.
- Assist with root cause analysis of recurring incidents.
- Raise escalations to back-line teams as necessary.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Experience working in both Windows and Linux environments.
- Working knowledge of cloud technologies, specifically AWS, is advantageous.
- Some experience scripting in one of these languages is advantageous: PowerShell, Bash, Python.
- Experience with core monitoring tools: Splunk, AWS CloudWatch, Nagios, Grafana Cloud.
