Java Full Stack Engineer

About the Role

This role will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting modern applications across the full software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate has strong backend and frontend development capabilities and can effectively troubleshoot applications across software and infrastructure layers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable and reliable software applications.
• Develop backend applications, services, and APIs using Java and related frameworks.
• Develop modern, responsive user interfaces using JavaScript and React.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services with frontend applications.
• Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-tested code following software engineering best practices.
• Participate in application architecture, technical design, code reviews, and engineering standards.
• Develop automated unit, integration, functional, and regression tests to improve application quality.
• Build, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines to automate application builds, testing, security validation, and deployments.
• Troubleshoot complex application issues across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
• Use Linux administration and networking knowledge to diagnose application, connectivity, and deployment issues.
• Analyze application logs, API failures, system behavior, network connectivity, and application dependencies to perform root-cause analysis.
• Identify and remediate application and infrastructure security vulnerabilities in collaboration with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams.
• Automate repetitive development, testing, deployment, and operational activities.
• Improve application observability through effective logging, monitoring, metrics, and alerting.
• Participate in production incident response, root-cause analysis, and implementation of permanent corrective actions.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Experience identifying and remediating application and infrastructure vulnerabilities.
• Understanding of secure software development practices.
• Ability to address security findings involving application code, open-source dependencies, operating systems, and configuration.
• Experience developing automated unit, integration, and functional tests.
• Familiarity with Java testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing Java/Spring Boot microservices.

• Experience with observability, application monitoring, and centralized logging.
• Familiarity with API security and authentication/authorization concepts.
• Experience working in Agile, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering environments.
