About the Role
OctaSence is building a platform for Structural Health Monitoring of critical infrastructure, integrating Agentic AI, IoT, Geotechnical Intelligence, and Digital Twin technologies. We are seeking a Full Stack Developer to contribute to the development and scaling of our core product.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship features for our SaaS dashboard and backend services.
- Develop and maintain REST APIs, database schemas, and real-time data pipelines for IoT/sensor data.
- Integrate AI/ML components, including LLM-based agents, RAG pipelines, or model outputs into product features.
- Deploy and manage services on AWS, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Collaborate with founders and the engineering team on architecture and technical decisions.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code across the stack.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- 0–2.5 years of professional experience in full stack development. Freshers must demonstrate equivalent hands-on work through internships or substantial projects.
- Strong proficiency in React.js (or equivalent frontend framework) and Tailwind/CSS.
- Backend experience with Node.js or Python; solid understanding of REST API design.
- Working knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and schema design.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred): EC2, S3, Lambda, or equivalent.
- Version control using Git and standard software engineering practices (testing, code review, CI/CD basics).
- Strong solutioning ability: able to break down open-ended problems, evaluate trade-offs, and design clean technical solutions independently.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills; comfortable owning features end-to-end.
Qualifications
- Mandatory: Completed B.Tech / B.E. / M.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or a related field from a Tier-1 institute (IITs, NITs, IIITs, BITS).
- Strong academic record with demonstrated technical depth (projects, internships, open-source contributions, or competitive programming).
Good to Have
- Experience working with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, etc.), agentic frameworks, or vector databases.
- Exposure to MCP (Model Context Protocol), prompt engineering, or building AI-powered features.
- Experience with real-time systems, WebSockets, or IoT data pipelines.
- Data visualization experience (Recharts, D3, or similar).
- Familiarity with Docker and containerized deployments.
