About the Role

Assistant Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Vivekananda Institute of Technology (VKIT). This is a full-time, on-site role based at VKIT’s campus in Kumbalagodu, Bengaluru.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (M.E./M.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.
• Strong expertise in core Mechanical Engineering areas such as Heat Transfer and Solid Mechanics.
• Research skills, including the ability to conduct scholarly work, publish in peer-reviewed venues, and guide student research projects.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to teach and mentor a diverse student body effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to use modern teaching tools, laboratory equipment, and educational technologies relevant to mechanical engineering.
• Commitment to academic ethics, student-centered learning, teamwork within the department, and participation in institutional development activities.
