Key Responsibilities
- Cargo shipment handling
- Conduct cargo operations in accordance with applicable regulations and standards.
- Ensure proper packing, marking, and weight on packets/AWBs before acceptance.
- Ensure cargo is properly manifested as per sales planning.
- Ensure cargo is dispatched from the warehouse with all relevant documents.
- Generate proper documentation and reports.
- Ensure proper segregation and trolley make-up for flights.
- Ensure cargo is properly loaded/unloaded from aircraft.
- Forward proper messages regarding the location of cargo and documents to various destinations.
- Ensure incoming cargo is properly segregated and delivered to consignees.
- Send proper messages for any discrepancies found in incoming cargo.
- Ensure all relevant daily maintenance functions of equipment are carried out.
- Liaison with customs, AAI, and CUT Operator to ensure all government regulations are met.
- Ensure issuance of carting orders for export cargo and delivery orders addressed to Customs.
- Ensure proper booking and reservations for shipments are done on the computer.
