Product Development Intern

About the Role

Vansera Labs Private Limited is an early-stage fintech startup building wealth and investing products. This is a hands-on role with real ownership and a clear growth path, starting with mastering the product through testing and growing into building it. You will be involved in the product development process, not fetching coffee or shadowing from the sidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Testing Focus (First Few Months):
• Test new features, edge cases, and critical financial flows for accuracy.
• Write clear, reproducible bug reports and collaborate with engineers to resolve issues.
• Build and run test cases and checklists to identify problems before users.
• Understand the product and codebase by examining them from all angles.
• Validate that features meet specifications and address user needs.
• Building Focus (As you Grow):
• Write and ship product features alongside the engineering team.
• Translate ideas and user feedback into specs, mockups, and prototypes.
• Automate testing and improve the quality of software shipping processes.
• Work with real financial data and third-party APIs (market data, KYC, payments, brokerage/depository integrations).
• Engage with users, track metrics, and contribute to roadmap definition and prioritization.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Education/Background:
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science Engineering, Design, or a related field.
• Alternatively, a self-taught builder with a demonstrable portfolio of work.
• Technical Skills:
• Some coding ability in at least one modern language/stack (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, React, or similar).
• Resourcefulness and a willingness to learn and grow into feature development.
• Domain Knowledge (Willingness to Learn):
• Knowledge about fintech, equity markets, and investing is a plus; prior finance experience is not required.
• Soft Skills:
• A sharp eye for detail and a knack for identifying issues.
• Patience and rigor in testing.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work closely with a small team.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science Engineering, Design, or a related field, or demonstrable skills as a self-taught builder.
• Possession of some coding ability in at least one modern language/stack (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, React, or similar).
• A keen eye for detail and the ability to identify discrepancies.
• Demonstrated patience and rigor in performing tasks.
• Effective communication skills and the capacity for collaborative teamwork.

Internship Details

• Location: Malad West (Mumbai)
• Type: Full-time internship, Onsite
• Duration: 6 months
• Timing: Monday to Friday (9:00 AM), Saturday (9:30 AM)
• Compensation: Stipend (To be discussed) + Pre-Placement Offer (PPO) track for top performers.
