About the Role

Kalk Solutions is looking for a creative and technology-driven UI/UX Design Intern with a strong interest in user experience, visual design, graphic design, motion graphics, and AI-powered creative tools. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Figma, Canva, and other design tools, along with the ability to leverage AI tools for creating innovative designs, visuals, animations, and videos. Experience with graphic design, motion graphics, or video editing will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in designing user-friendly and visually appealing interfaces for websites, web applications, and mobile applications.
• Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, user flows, and UI layouts using Figma and other relevant tools.
• Develop creative assets, banners, social media creatives, and marketing materials using Canva and other graphic design software.
• Leverage AI tools to generate design concepts, images, videos, animations, and other creative assets.
• Experiment with AI-powered tools to improve design workflows, creativity, and productivity.
• Create engaging visual content, including basic animations, motion graphics, and video content.
• Collaborate with designers, developers, and other team members to translate ideas into effective design solutions.
• Maintain consistency in typography, colour schemes, visual hierarchy, and design systems.
• Stay updated with emerging UI/UX trends, AI technologies, and modern design practices.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Basic understanding of UI/UX design principles, user-centred design, typography, colour theory, and visual hierarchy.
• Hands-on experience with Figma, Canva, and other design tools.
• Familiarity with AI-powered tools for design, image generation, video creation, and creative content production.
• Creativity, attention to detail, and an interest in experimenting with new design technologies.
• Basic understanding of wireframing, prototyping, responsive design, and usability principles.
• Ability to take feedback, learn quickly, and collaborate effectively with a team.
• A portfolio showcasing academic projects, personal designs, or previous creative work is preferred.

Preferred Skills & Tools

• AI Tools: Hands-on experience with Higgsfield, Google Gemini, ChatGPT, Canva AI, Adobe Firefly, or similar AI-powered tools.
• UI/UX Design: Figma, Canva, Adobe XD, or other relevant design tools.
• Graphic Design: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar software.
• Motion Graphics & Video Editing: Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar video editing software.
• AI Video Generation: Experience creating AI-generated videos, animations, visual effects, and creative content using tools such as Higgsfield or other AI video generation platforms. Graphic design, motion graphics, and video editing experience will be an added advantage.
• Candidates who actively use AI tools in their creative workflow will be preferred.
