About the Role

Citigroup's Non-Agency Residential Mortgage Transaction Management Group, a unit within Spread Products, is seeking to add an Analyst to its existing team. The broader business focuses on loan trading and new issue securitizations of non-agency residential mortgage assets, serving institutional clients across the residential credit ecosystem. The desk touches a wide range of non-agency asset classes, including:

  • HELOC and closed-end second mortgage loans
  • Non-QM and DSCR mortgage loans
  • Seasoned performing, re-performing, and non-performing loans

Role Overview

The Analyst will support the loan trading and new issue securitization functions of the business, gaining direct exposure to:

  • Due diligence: Both pre- and post-settlement diligence coordination and review for loan trades and securitized transactions
  • Contract negotiations: Supporting documentation and terms for loan sale/purchase agreements and securitization transactions
  • Trade execution support: Assisting traders with bid lists, pricing analysis, and settlement coordination for whole loan trades
  • Data analytics: Loan-level and pool-level analysis to support trade pricing, bid evaluation, and securitization structuring
  • New issue securitization support: Assisting with deal structuring, collateral review, and execution of securitized product issuances

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in Excel (VBA/SQL a plus)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly in data analysis and documentation review
  • Interest in residential mortgage markets, structured products, and fixed income
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience (internship or full-time) preferred
