About the Role
Our client is seeking a Junior Accountant to join their growing accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Accounting graduate or early-career professional looking to gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of accounting while building a strong foundation for long-term career growth. Working closely with experienced finance professionals, you'll gain exposure to month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, and day-to-day accounting operations in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and support general ledger maintenance.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities.
- Perform account reconciliations and research discrepancies.
- Help prepare financial reports and supporting schedules.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed.
- Assist with audits, reporting requests, and special projects.
- Contribute to process improvements and other departmental initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
- 0-2 years of accounting experience, including internships.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience with account reconciliations and Excel.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn.
