About the Role
This is a Data Science Internship at FlatUIUX.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in collecting, cleaning, and organizing large datasets.
- Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends and patterns.
- Develop and implement basic machine learning models.
- Create data visualizations, charts, and dashboards.
- Support data scientists in solving real-world business problems.
- Write SQL queries to extract and analyze data.
- Assist in building predictive models and statistical analyses.
- Document findings and present insights to the team.
- Collect data from databases, spreadsheets, APIs, and other sources.
- Clean, preprocess, and transform raw data for analysis.
- Analyze datasets using Python, SQL, and statistical techniques.
- Apply machine learning algorithms to practical problems.
- Evaluate model performance and suggest improvements.
- Prepare reports and communicate data-driven insights.
- Collaborate with software engineers, analysts, and other team members.
- Stay updated with emerging data science tools and technologies.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of Python programming.
- Familiarity with libraries such as:
- Pandas
- NumPy
- Matplotlib
- Seaborn
- Scikit-learn
- Basic understanding of statistics and probability.
- Knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
- Understanding of machine learning fundamentals.
- Familiarity with data visualization techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to learn and work on real-world projects.
Additional Skills (Preferred)
- Experience with Power BI or Tableau.
- Basic knowledge of Deep Learning.
- Familiarity with TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Knowledge of Git and GitHub.
- Experience with real-world data science projects.
- Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
