About the Role
84 Lumber is seeking a Manager Trainee for a full-time, entry-level position designed to prepare you for a leadership role. This role offers hands-on training across all aspects of store operations with the goal of promotion to a management position.
Key Responsibilities
- Support customers and drive sales in a retail store environment.
- Oversee material/supply chain flow, stock, and merchandising.
- Create material estimates for building projects.
- Safe handling of materials and equipment.
- Learn about payroll, invoicing, inventory, and financial analysis.
- Enhance and refine skills in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Manage payroll, invoicing, inventory, and POS Systems.
- Interpret and analyze common financial reports.
- Read blueprints and create material lists.
- Respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.

Requirements & Tech Stack
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Full-time schedule (48+ hours/week, overtime included)
- Willingness to relocate for a management position.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (previous experience preferred)
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Work in indoor and outdoor settings, assisting customers in all weather conditions.
- Frequent standing, walking, and lifting (up to 80 pounds).
- May work around machinery and airborne particles.
