Video Editor Intern

About the Role

Laneway is a next-generation business management consulting company. This is a remote internship role for a Video Editor Intern.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit video content for social media, digital campaigns, and presentations.
• Ensure alignment with brand guidelines and messaging.
• Assemble raw footage, select and trim clips.
• Add transitions, titles, and sound.
• Prepare formats optimized for various platforms.
• Collaborate with designers, marketers, and consultants to create engaging visual narratives.
• Communicate business insights and showcase client projects.
• Perform basic color correction.
• Create simple motion graphics.
• Manage video files.
• Contribute creative ideas to improve overall content quality.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong skills in Video Editing and Video Production.
• Ability to handle footage from concept to final export.
• Ability to perform Video Color Grading.
• Experience or familiarity with Motion Graphics and Graphics for overlays, titles, and simple animations.
• Proficiency in common editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
• Proficiency in basic graphic tools (e.g., After Effects, Illustrator, or similar).
• Attention to detail.
• Good visual storytelling sense.
• Understanding of content for social media and digital marketing.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Ability to manage time effectively.
• Ability to respond to feedback constructively.
• Strong communication skills.
• Collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Relevant coursework, portfolio, or personal projects in video editing, media production, or a related field are highly beneficial.
