Laboratory Technologist - Microbiology

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and complex tests on clinical specimens in various areas of the laboratory in microbiology.
• Troubleshoot instruments and methods.
• Perform all quality control procedures.
• Assist in the evaluation of new equipment, reagents, and methodologies.
• Calibrate and maintain lab instrumentation.
• Research and establish new procedures to improve laboratory operations.

Shift Details

• Morning shift available in the Microbiology Department.
• Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.
• Alternate weekends and rotating holidays required.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology (or equivalent experience).
• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure from the New York Education Department.
• ASCP certification is preferred.
• New graduates are welcomed to apply.

• New York, New York.
• On-site presence required; employees must live within a commutable distance to NYP.
